My Day by Dawn Pritchard

I wake up in the morning
Pour myself a cup of coffee
I sit down at the table with my Malcolm little wee
Open up the paper - to see what's going on
in this crazy world
Kind of makes me see

The things we take for granted
How lucky can we be

I go outside into the sunshine
Make sure to stop and smell the flowers
I walk across the bridge to the other side of town
See the bagman in the alley and he's trying to find some peace
And the working girls they're starting early
But me I found the key
